Sony Alpha 7 V (a7 V)

The work horse

The Sony α7 V is a versatile full-frame hybrid camera designed to handle a wide range of photography and video work. With a 33MP partially stacked full-frame sensor, advanced AI-powered autofocus and blackout-free continuous shooting at up to 30fps, it combines excellent image quality with the speed and flexibility needed for demanding shoots.

Its 33MP resolution sits comfortably within the general-purpose α7 range and the high-resolution α7R series, making the α7 V a strong all-round choice when you want one camera that can handle a bit of everything.

Why hire the Sony α7 V?

The α7 V is a particularly capable general-purpose professional camera. Its combination of resolution, autofocus, speed and video capability makes it suitable for everything from events and portraits to travel, landscape, commercial and hybrid photo/video work.

The partially stacked sensor provides faster readout than the previous generation, while Sony's BIONZ XR2 processor and dedicated AI processing unit provide advanced subject recognition and tracking. Continuous shooting is available at up to 30fps with full AF/AE tracking.

For video, the α7 V supports internal 4K recording up to 120p, including 10-bit 4:2:2 recording, while Active Mode stabilisation provides additional support for handheld shooting.
