Sony FE 400mm f4.5 GM OSS

When the subject is fast, distant and important

The Sony FE 400mm F4.5 GM OSS is a lightweight professional super-telephoto prime built for situations where reach, autofocus performance and mobility matter.

Why hire it?

A 400mm prime is highly specialised equipment, and this lens is a strong example of why rental makes sense. It delivers serious reach for wildlife, sport and motorsport, while weighing just under 1kg — making it far easier to carry and handhold than traditional super-telephoto primes.

Ideal for

Captis note

Despite its 400mm focal length, this is an unusually portable super-telephoto prime. Its low weight and balanced design make handheld shooting realistic for wildlife, motorsport and field use, although a monopod or other support may still be useful for longer sessions
